Personal Data Protection Policy
At KunanSoft S.A. we handle personal data responsibly and in line with Ecuador's Organic Law on Personal Data Protection (LOPDP). This policy explains what data we collect, for what purpose and what rights you have over it.
1. Data controller
KunanSoft S.A., tax ID (RUC) 0190380009001, with address in Cuenca, Azuay, Ecuador, is the controller of the personal data collected through this website.

2. What data we process and why
- Contact details you share with us (name, email, phone, institution or company, and the message you send) when you reach out by WhatsApp or email from the site, in order to handle your enquiry, prepare a quote or arrange a demo.
- Data of clients and their authorized contacts, in order to perform commercial contracts and deliver our services.
- Data processed on behalf of our clients in the products we operate for them. In those cases KunanSoft acts as the data processor and the client is the controller.
3. Legal basis
We process your data on one or more of these bases, depending on the case: your consent when you contact us, the performance of a contract, our legitimate interest in handling your request, and compliance with legal obligations.
4. Recipients and international transfers
We do not sell or trade your data. It is accessed only by authorized KunanSoft staff and, where necessary to deliver the service, by cloud infrastructure and notification providers (for example, Google and Apple services for mobile notifications), under contractual safeguards. Some of these providers are located outside Ecuador, so international transfers may take place with appropriate safeguards.
5. Retention period
We keep data only for as long as needed for the purpose that originated it and to comply with applicable legal obligations (for example, accounting, tax and public procurement periods). When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
6. Your rights
As the data subject you may exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation (erasure), objection, portability and restriction of processing, as well as the right not to be subject to automated decisions.
To exercise them, write to asacoto@kunansoft.net. We will respond within the time frames set by the LOPDP. If you are not satisfied with the response, you may turn to Ecuador's Superintendence of Personal Data Protection.
7. Security
We apply technical and organizational measures to protect your data: role-based access control, encryption in transit and at rest, and auditable operation logs.
8. Cookies
This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. It only stores a technical preference in your browser (the light or dark theme you choose), which does not identify any person and is not shared with third parties.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when regulations or our processing activities change. The current version will always be published on this page.
